About the Wren Project

The Wren Project is the only charity in the UK to offer free listening support to individuals living in difficulty as a result of an autoimmune disease diagnosis. We support individuals - our ‘Wrens’ - with dedicated listening support, which is free of disease-specific advice or judgement. Our support allows our Wrens to share openly about how their autoimmune disease is affecting their life, in the safe space of a video or telephone call with their trusted volunteer.

Our support would not be possible without the dedication of our Listening Volunteers. Each Listening Volunteer is an integral part of our organisation, giving up to three hours’ a fortnight of their time, remotely, to support someone in distress.

As a charity, we seek to build support and community for people living with autoimmune diseases across the UK. We work with other charities to share the message of our support.

What you will receive

The opportunity to grow and enhance your communication skills and make a real difference every day. Career development opportunities and the chance for this role to grow and evolve over the course of your time with us. We actively encourage and welcome applications from everyone, including applicants with and without knowledge of autoimmune disease.
